Molly in Boerne, TX
Update 8-24-26: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more applications for now. Thank you!
Molly is a 2-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born on 01/12/2024 who weighs about 16 pounds. She is a low-key, affectionate girl and a serious snuggler who would be happiest in a calm household with one friendly pet companion.

This sweet pup is learning how to relax, play, and enjoy being a dog. She has made good progress and is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the stability, reassurance, and time she needs to continue building confidence. Once Molly comes out of her shell, she loves her toys and the occasional play with another dog.

Molly is housebroken and crate trained. She is comfortable spending time in her crate when needed (as long as another dog is where she can see them), but at bedtime she would much rather sleep with her people. She loves being close to her person and can be left alone for several hours at a time, but she would not be a good match for a home where she is regularly alone for long periods.

Molly is spayed, fully vaccinated, and has a clean bill of health but she is heartworm positive. She is currently receiving treatment, which will be paid for by the rescue. Her adopter must agree to continue her heartworm care with her current veterinarian, Cibolo Creek Veterinary Hospital in Boerne, Texas. Her treatment is starting this month and can take up to 120 days for completion; it’s generally around 60-80 days. During this time she will be limited to any activities, this is absolutely crucial. She will have to be kept in a calm environment where she can’t run or have any raucous activity until the treatment is fully completed. She can not be allowed to jump on or off furniture or use any stairs. For all potty breaks she will have to be kept on a leash, and when you are not home, she will need to be kept in a crate or playpen.

Once she has completed treatment and been medically cleared, her adopter may transfer her care to another veterinarian.

Molly has already been through enough uncertainty. She is ready for a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe, stay close to her people, and enjoy the life she deserves.

If you would like to give Molly a loving home, please complete an online adoption application if you haven’t already. After applying, contact Maegan Ramos at sacavalierrescueusa@gmail.com to let us know you’ve submitted your application. Molly is currently being fostered in Boerne, Texas. Because she must continue heartworm treatment with her current veterinarian, adopters must live in the local area.
