Here’s a picture of Lexy with her new family…

Lexy is a stunning, five-year-old black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She joined Cavalier Rescue USA earlier this summer and it was immediately clear that she had been loved, well trained and well cared for in her previous home.

Lexy is sweet, playful, and well behaved. She greets almost everyone who passes the front windows with a Muppet-like bark which brings a smile to all who hear her. She loves to go on walks and struts as well as any runway model. She is desperate to befriend the 19-year-old resident cat, Figgy, who more than tolerates her but continues to play hard to get. 

Lexy has a signature snuggle: she straddles an available lap, stretches her hind legs out behind her like a corgi, and demands booty scratching with a deliberate look in her eyes. She makes friends easily with the other dogs in the neighborhood, especially her foster Cavalier brother. She has a grade 2 heart murmur and weighs 18 pounds.
