Victor in Nixa, MO

Hi, Everyone, My name is Victor, and I am a handsome 16 pound, well behaved snuggly Tricolor guy who will complete your life! Did I mention that I’m handsome too? My big brown eyes that will let you know how much I love you! I was in a breeding facility, and have come a long way since being rescued from that place.

Since coming to Cavalier Rescue USA, I’ve been neutered and had my teeth cleaned. I’m housetrained, but might regress for a little while in a new home. Just let me learn the schedule! I am learning how to play, I know my name, and come when called. I love everyone (even cats and chickens) but prefer gentle, dog savvy children. Loud noises can frighten me! I love car rides and going to get a pup cup! My foster mom has a comfy bed for me in the gated kitchen, but I would prefer to sleep in the big bed with my forever family!

Victor was telling us how wonderful he is, and you know, he is correct! He is a healthy, sweet, loving boy, age 7-years-old.

He came from a breeding operation, and has settled into his true Cavalier nature. He was seen by a vet, had his dental, lost 5 teeth, and is doing well. A very slight heart murmur was noted and this should be checked yearly to see if it progresses. Cavaliers are the poster children for Mitral Valve Disease otherwise known as MVD. Victor is up to date on all his vaccines.

He is active and social, shy with new people but with a gentle touch and soft voice, will quickly warm to a new person. He is learning leash manners and that needs to be continued with his forever family. He follows his foster sister around and would likely do well with a small dog to shadow. He would also like a securely fenced in yard and a home where his people are home most of the time. There is a saying that the girl Cavaliers love you, but the boys fall in love with you. I have found this to be so true.
