Cindy in Rural Retreat, VA

Cindy is a sweet, gentle 5-year-old Blenheim female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who weighs 24 pounds. Rescued just a month ago from a commercial breeding background, she has transitioned amazingly well into rescue life and is constantly looking for ways to show and receive affection. Her happy tail never stops wagging whenever someone is near, perfectly capturing her quintessential, loving Cavalier temperament.

Since coming into rescue, Cindy was spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for an ear infection. She is heart-healthy.

She gets along well with other dogs. Cindy enjoys exploring the yard with her foster family’s dogs and her friend Cocoa. She is easily distracted by critters of all sorts, so she either needs a secured fenced yard or to be leashed when outside. 

Cindy is crate trained and will go into the crate with encouragement.  She sleeps in a crate at night, but would prefer the big bed.  

She is an absolute dream companion for anyone seeking an affectionate shadow. Cindy loves nothing more than to snuggle up close and rest her head gently on your shoulder, complete with endearing little snores as she relaxes. Every day brings new joys as she discovers the pleasantries of pet life. She recently took a delighted interest in squeaky dog toys, which has been a wonderful new experience for her. Her resilient, loving nature makes her a truly special addition to a devoted home.
