Misty in Loretto, MN
Hello, Misty here (aka Thumper-I have a happy tail)! I’m a beautiful, five-year-old lovebug. I came here as a breeder release, so I can be shy when I first meet people. I really love my foster mom and like to be by her. My foster dad will do in a pinch. Once I warmed up to my new foster home I learned that belly rubs, soft pets and cuddles were some of my favorite things. Treats! Those are the best too so I hope my new home has them!

I know children are cute, but I’m leery of them. I still get jumpy from sudden movements, even with adults that I trust.
I love to be outside. Zoomies and rolling in the grass are my jam! I am learning how to walk on a leash and doing pretty good. My foster siblings really like to do that, so my foster mom is starting to teach me how. It would be best if my furever home had a fence.

I love toys of all types. I think it’s a fun game to take one toy out of the toy bucket, run out through the doggie door with it, and drop it in the yard. My foster mom likes to play this game too; I know that because she puts all the toys back in the bucket for me to drag out again.
I like other dogs and would love a sibling but if I am the only pup that is okay too. I just ignore the crabby, old cat that lives here so if you had a cat I would be ok sharing my living space.

At night, I sleep with my best buddy Millie (another girl available to be adopted) in a large, cozy pen. We are tidy and never potty in there, and we sleep through the night. I would love to sleep in that big bed with humans given a chance. During the day, I need to go outside on a regular schedule. Sometimes I forget and have an accident in the house. I am still learning.

I have been to the vet and am current on all my vaccinations, heartworm, flea and tick preventatives and spayed. I have had an echocardiogram and have a grade II heart murmur, stage B1, but don’t need any medications currently.
My foster mom says I am so sweet and lovable, and I just need time to feel safe. I would love to live with your family if you are home most of the day and have a quiet home (children 16+ years old because kids are just not for me), and a fenced yard. Another dog would be a plus.
