Bailey in Apollo Beach, FL
Meet Bailey, the most handsome, sweet, sprightly Cavalier you ever want to meet. Born on July 22, 2018 Bailey may be approaching his 8th birthday but you’d never know it. He is playful with just enough spunk to make him seem half his age. Bailey loves to go for long walks and spending time outdoors, play with toys and chase lizards. He adores people, wants to meet other dogs and is wonderful with gentle young children.
Being a true Cavalier at heart, Bailey simply wants to be near his people. He follows his foster mom from room to room, including resting under her desk when she’s working. He is a very good listener, knows basic commands and most importantly, understands the word “no”. Being exceptionally well behaved, he doesn’t jump on the furniture unless asked and sleeps in his crate all night long. Bailey is fully house trained and has good manners at mealtime.

Bailey is a very sweet boy who came into Rescue when his owner could no longer care for them. In an act of love and selflessness, their owner gave the pups to Cavalier Rescue USA. While they arrived together, we do not believe they are a bonded pair, as they don’t rely on one another for comfort or companionship. Because Bailey loves attention we feel he would be happy either as an only dog getting lots of love and care from an active owner or in a home with other friendly dogs to romp and play with.

Recently, Bailey had a full check up with the vet and received a good report, even though at 35 lbs he does need to lose a few pounds. He’s lost a few already since being with his foster mom and with continued exercise, the pounds will come off. Before coming into our care, Bailey had a dental and lost 14 teeth but he doesn’t miss them. He’s up to date on all vaccines, has a microchip, and is on preventatives. Bailey is a beautiful boy who gets lots of compliments where ever he goes. He has big brown eyes that say please love me.

Bailey is a happy boy who thrives on getting and giving love and attention but doesn’t like being left alone and has separation anxiety. His foster mom puts him in his crate when she leaves so he feels safe and secure. Bailey’s new family will need to be home most of the day and help him with this behavior to be a more confident dog.

If you think you’d love the companionship of a loyal, sweet, boy to go for walks with and cuddle on the couch, then Bailey may be your guy.
