Baxter in Covington, KY

Meet Baxter, your new best friend. Baxter is a sweet and friendly 6-year-old (born 5/27/2019) tri-color Cavalier who’s ready to steal your heart. Weighing in at 27 pounds, Baxter is a big boy who is the perfect mix of laid-back companion and enthusiastic walking buddy.

This gentle boy loves going for car rides and is an excellent passenger. He also enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood and greeting all of the neighbors. But don’t be fooled—Baxter is also a true couch potato at heart. He’s happiest curled up next to you or hopping right into your lap for snuggles.

Baxter is fully house-trained, does not require a crate, and will join you in your bed at night. He was raised with a cat and gets along with his foster’s two small dogs. He’s just starting to show an interest in toys, and loves running after his ball.

Due to his strong bond with people, Baxter does have some separation anxiety and may scratch at the door when left alone. However, he is working on being more confident when he’s home alone. He would still thrive, though, in a home with someone who is home most of the day.

Baxter is up to date on all vaccinations and is in excellent health.
