Baxter in Huntingtown, MD

Baxter is a handsome 7-year-old black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born 5/25/2018. He came to Cavalier Rescue USA from a very loving home where the owner’s living situation changed. Baxter is a well-behaved boy who gets along great with the senior Cavaliers in his foster home. 

Baxter is up to date with his vaccinations, is microchipped, neutered, and, other than a grade 1 heart murmur, is in excellent health. 

Baxter is happy to sleep in his crate at night. He loves car rides. Baxter loves long walks, and his foster dad has been taking Baxter for several walks during the day. 

Baxter is a happy boy who will do his house zoomies at random times during the day. He will also be content to be in your lap all day if you have time. Baxter loves to follow his foster dad around the house and will, in Cavalier fashion, follow him to the bathroom. 

He is always ready to greet new people with lots of tail wags. He is good with kids. 

Baxter is a runner, so he needs to be in a secure fenced-in yard and watched carefully, as he will run between your legs when you open the door. His foster dad has been teaching him to sit (with rewards) before he leaves the home.  

Baxter’s new family will need to be aware that he tends to eat a little too quickly, so a special bowl is recommended. The ideal forever home would be a home with someone home most of the time to spoil him.
