Meet Bluebell (aka Bella), a calm, sweet 23 lb Blenheim female who wants nothing more than to settle in with her loving, forever family. If you want a cuddler and gentle companion, she’s the perfect choice.

This 5 years old bundle of love enjoys going on walks. She is still learning leash etiquette, and sometimes needs encouragement but she is very willing. A fenced yard is not a requirement, but would be best especially if you don’t want to walk her on leash regularly.

Bella is house trained for the most part. If she sticks to a regular schedule, she will be fine.

Bella’s overall health is excellent.

Bella has been introduced to several other dogs and is generally the more passive one. She is not afraid of the other dogs, however, and likes to be part of the group. She is learning about cats in her foster home and is acclimating nicely. She has met many adults and children and has been very friendly but not overly excited. She will gladly join foster mom on the couch, but she is also happy either laying nearby or resting in her crate.

Bella has great recall, and comes when called, even outside. She is good with car travel, but needs to be lifted into the car.

If she is the only dog or pet then she would do best with someone who’s home all day. If there are other pets for companionship in the home, she should be ok if they are left alone occasionally. She is good with kids, but is not a very active dog. First and foremost, she really does love her people.

Bella is crate trained and uses two at her foster home: one by foster mom’s bed and one in the family room. The crate doors are left open. She tends to enjoy resting in the crate and uses it as a place to collect her toys. She likes to snuggle inside the crate. She would need stairs to get up on most beds but would probably be more than willing to do that. She really wants to please and feel safe. Her place of preference is at your side.
