Doesn’t everyone need a best buddy? Here’s the perfect one for you! Meet Buddy, an 8 year old black and tan Cavalier mix born 2/13/18. He’s a sweetheart who finds himself in need of a new home after the heartbreaking loss of his owner. A family member lovingly took him in but wasn’t able to keep him because of her own health issues. Cavalier Rescue USA promised to find little Buddy a new home where he’s loved & treasured just like before.

Buddy is the definition of a “Velcro dog”—his favorite place in the world is right by your side. Whether you’re relaxing at home, gardening, heading out for a walk or just going into another room, Buddy just wants to be near his person and soak up the love.

This sweet boy has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him an absolute joy to have around. He walks beautifully on a leash, making daily strolls something to look forward to. Buddy also has great potty manners when let out every couple of hours, and he sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate, though he’d happily trade it for a cozy spot in the big bed if given the chance!

Buddy is a quiet companion who rarely barks and has no destructive habits, making him a wonderful fit for a relaxed home environment.

Buddy really misses his mom and would like a new home with a similar situation; a quiet home with adults only and where someone is home with him most of the time. Buddy will be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention, just the way he likes it!

While in foster care, Buddy had a dental and also had a fatty lipoma removed from his side. He’s heart healthy and overall in excellent health. He weighs 14.5 lbs.
