Charles in Castro Valley, CA

Here is Charles with his new family, just in time for the holidays ❤️!

This handsome little gentleman with the cute teddy bear face is Charles, a 6-7 year old Blenheim Cavalier. He’s a bit of a man of mystery since we don’t know much about his past or his age. He was surrendered to our rescue by the SPCA after being confiscated with a group of dogs from a neglect situation.

Charles is just as sweet as he looks and is quite the gentleman in his foster home. He’s reliably house trained with a dog door and is crate trained. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night but does look longingly at snuggling in the big bed. He gets along with his foster siblings, even occasionally playing and wrestling with the puppy. He loves walks but the one thing that he loves the most is to be by your side or cuddled up in your lap!

Charles was recently neutered and had a dental leaving him with a dazzling smile. He is heart healthy too! He’s s a bit hard of hearing but is learning hand motions to come & stay. Our rescue vet thinks that Charles “is on the younger side of 6-7”!

He’s a very quiet little guy. We were afraid that he might have been debarked since we didn’t hear a peep from him in over 6 weeks. But he got really excited getting leashed up for a walk and found his voice! 

No matter what his past held, Charles has learned to love the good life! He politely “asks” with his paw to come up in your lap and is content to stay cozied up as long as allowed.
