Charlie in Dallas, TX

Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m an 11-month-old Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (born June 27, 2025) with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. At just 12 pounds, I’m a compact bundle of joy who fits perfectly in your lap but has enough energy to chase every firefly in the backyard. I am wonderful with children of all ages, from curious toddlers to energetic teens!

I came into rescue because my previous family couldn’t give me the time and attention a young boy like me needs. Now, I’m ready to find my forever family who wants to spoil me with fetch sessions and snuggles!

I’m inquisitive, playful, and an absolute sweetheart. I find joy in everything—sniffing the trees, chasing balls, and exploring the world around me. After a fun play session, my favorite thing is hopping into your lap for a long nap. I’m the perfect mix of “let’s play!” and “let’s cuddle.”

I know some foundational commands and manners. However, I’m still young and need someone who is patient and willing to provide consistent reinforcement of what I already know. For instance, I’m *mostly* potty trained and I do best with a routine involving frequent potty breaks, especially right after meal times. With a little consistency and kindness, I’ll be fully trained in no time.

I’m at a perfect weight, neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. The vet says I’m healthy and ready to go!

Now, I’m ready to find my forever family who enjoys playtime (balls are my favorite!) but also values quiet cuddle time. I am used to being an only dog and meeting new dogs makes me nervous. I would prefer a home as an only dog or a small and calm dog that I can slowly be introduced to.  I’m also used to snuggling up and taking a long nap with my human in their bed at the end of the day. So, I’d love a family who would allow me to continue to do that. I do not like crates and don’t like being left home alone. I bark some when left so a house is preferred without shared walls.  While I enjoy walks, I need more practice to make them enjoyable for humans. Therefore, I’d love a securely fenced-in yard where I can fully enjoy myself outdoors. I also need someone who is at home the majority of the time to keep me company.

If you want a loyal, happy companion who will cherish every moment, I’m your guy. I need a family that has time to make me a top priority.  I just need a little patience with my potty training, some good play time activities, and a lot of love.
