Meet Charlotte — A Little Girl with a BIG Heart!
Charlotte is a beautiful 3-year-old Tricolor Cavalier Spaniel who is happiest when she is surrounded by people, other dogs, and all the little joys life has to offer. She has enjoyed the best of all the golden days of summer and is ready to make new friends, explore fall crisp mornings, cozy naps, and find her ideal new family. She will happily greet everyone she meets along the way of her daily outings.
Charlotte loves her walks and considers them the perfect opportunity to say hello to the humans and dogs she encounters. She’s social, curious, and just genuinely happy to be out exploring the world. When it comes to dinner time… well, Charlotte has her own special way of celebrating! She runs, jumps, and dances in circles on her hind legs while her meal is being prepared. This sweet girl is very food motivated!
Charlotte weighs 16 pounds, and she is now up to date on core vaccines, she was spayed, had her ears flushed, a fecal exam, nails trimmed and had a radiograph of her hips. No murmur was detected. Her veterinarian suspects Charlotte may have mild hip dysplasia, but this happy girl hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. She is playful, active, and full of life.
Her forever family will want to continue monitoring her hips with their veterinarian, but Charlotte is much too busy enjoying life to worry about it. She is stronger than when she arrived in foster care with a daily routine of a joint supplement to help with mobility, mild exercise to strengthen her leg, and oversight on her tendency to jump up on furniture. The addition of a ramps and doggie steps are suggested to help her navigate getting up as she is inclined to do.
Charlotte would love a home where she doesn’t have to spend long hours alone. Having another friendly dog or even two would be wonderful for her because Charlotte truly enjoys canine companionship. She has not been cat tested.
A secure fenced yard would also be a big plus. Charlotte loves to sniff, explore and investigate all the interesting smells, or simply stretch out in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Charlotte has tried to find the local neighborhood possum, but so far has not been successful.
More than anything, Charlotte needs a family who will love her, include her, and let her be part of their everyday life. She loves car rides and simply being with you. She has so much love to give and is ready to find the people she can finally call her own.
