Clover in Cibolo, TX

f you’re searching for your next companion that will love you unconditionally, enjoys sneaking cat naps together, and that will bring absolutely joy to your life look no further! Clover is a 6 year old Blenheim King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, born May 5, 2000, who is at an ideal weight of 18 lbs. She is looking for her forever home to spend the rest of her days lounging around in all the nooks of your home!

Some ways Clover likes to express herself is by splooting as flat as she can be and wagging her tail at you, army crawling ever so sneakily into your arms when in bed, and her silly wiggle attacks where she huffs and puffs and wiggles around on her back.

Clover was a prior breeding dog, she recently had her spay, anal gland expression, and dental, she lost 21 teeth but that doesn’t stop her at all from eating. She is also up to date on her annual vaccinations and flea/tick and heart worm prevention and is heart worm negative. She potentially has environmental allergies and has started medication for some relief. It’s a once a day medication called Zenrelia.

Clover is house-trained, and benefits from a  good potty schedule. She enjoys the comfort of a safe space such as a kennel with an open door policy or the best “den” she can find when free roaming her home. She will also cuddle on the couch with you.

Clover responds to her name and has good recall. She loves the company of other humans and can be vocal for their affection when leaving a room without her. She would benefit from a family that has someone who works from home or can include Clover in their plans as she is a loyal companion wanting to tag along for the ride.

Clover has resided with foster dogs of all ages and sizes and proven to adjust well in time, and seemed to bond best with other Cavaliers. While she may prefer being the center of attention she can also be content having a new sibling or two, but only engages in naps together and squirrel hunting rather than wrestling. She loves her toys and will happily play with them on her own.

Once Clover bonds with her family she can show signs of resource guarding when introducing other dogs, and so we always recommend introductions on a neutral territory to set everyone up for success.
