Daisy and Rubee in Arlington, VA

Daisy and Rubee(Ruby) are a deeply bonded pair of Cavaliers who are as sweet as they come and incredibly easy to love. They came into rescue when their devoted owner could no longer provide the care they needed. They’ve adapted beautifully to their foster home-showing just how gentle, affectionate, and low maintenance they are. Rubee and Daisy thrive on companionship, both with each other and their humans. While they love being by your side, they also settle calmly when left alone together. Nights are peaceful too as they sleep soundly keeping each other company.

Daisy is a 7-year-old Blenheim beauty with the softest expression that will absolutely melt your heart. She is calm, affectionate, and when she gets excited, her adorable happy barks say it all. Daisy is overweight, weighing in at 32 lbs. and this has caused her to have some mobility issues. She struggles with one step, so she needs a home with minimal steps that she can easily navigate. She loves to go on walks, but they need to be kept short. She has a heart murmur detected, but no meds are necessary at this time.

Rubee is a 6-year-old Ruby colored sweetheart who loves being the center of attention. She still has playful energy, but mostly loves cuddling up in your lap. Rubee  is overweight, weighing in at 30 lbs. Both girls need to be kept on a weight loss plan, but they have already lost a few pounds while in foster care. Rubee loves to go on walks and gets so excited when the leashes come out.

Daisy and Rubee are looking for a loving home where their owners are home most of the day and there are limited stairs. One step out to a fenced in backyard would be ideal. The girls love spending time outside. Daisy and Rubee happily greet any dog or person they meet, so children and other dogs in the home should be no problem.
