FitzRoy in Chesapeake, VA
His Lordship, FitzRoy – Distinguished Gentleman of the Canine Aristocracy
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am FitzRoy, a rather handsome 5-year-old tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I come from a distinguished line of lap-warming specialists and consider myself exceptionally qualified in the fine art of affection.

My journey to rescue began when my previous family, a lovely senior couple, reached a stage in life where they could no longer provide the care I deserved. With love and concern for my future, they made the difficult decision to find me a wonderful new home. And so, I find myself ready to begin my next royal chapter!

I am a devoted companion, partial to cuddles, human attention, and occupying laps with the confidence of a gentleman who has never once been denied his rightful seat. I have slept in a crate but prefer in my master’s bed if I am welcomed.

My manners are impeccable! I am potty trained and have mastered the art of the doggy door, demonstrating both intelligence and a commendable degree of independence. I am also a quick learner, although I must confess that treats and compliments greatly accelerate my academic progress.

I pride myself on being quite the social gentleman. Other dogs and people are welcomed with enthusiasm and impeccable charm. I believe good company, kindness, and a little affection are the foundations of a well-lived life.

Now, I must disclose one small matter of royal housekeeping. I do have a heart murmur, a condition commonly seen in my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel family. My health deserves a little extra attention and regular veterinary oversight. I am also scheduled for a dental cleaning to keep my handsome smile in tip-top condition before arriving at my forever home. After all, one must maintain appearances when one belongs to the aristocracy!

As for my appearance, my beautiful tricolor coat is simply magnificent. I am particularly proud of the soft waves and gentle curls on my ears. But, I do try not to let my good looks go to my head, though I fear I have been unsuccessful.
I am now seeking a forever home where I may bestow my affection, grace your furniture with my presence, and bring a little royal elegance (and perhaps a touch of mischief) into everyday life.

In short, I am FitzRoy by name, aristocrat by disposition, and lap dog by divine appointment.
Your devoted servant (provided there are treats), Lord FitzRoy
