George is the sweetest tricolor boy, who is looking for his forever home. This handsome fellow was born 11-20-22. George came to us when his previous family dynamics changed, and they were no longer able to care for him. He is a little shy and timid at first but warms up and shows his fun, loving, playful self. 

George is a lover and wants to be with his people. He is still timid with new things but warms up quickly with some reassurance from you. We have had him out in public and he quickly learned he loves pets from everyone. He does jump at loud noises and is curious about new things. He is good on a leash, but still needs to build more confidence on walks. That will come with trust in his new person. He is great in the car and does not make a sound. 

George weighs 21 pounds, and he is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He was checked out by the Vet and given a clean bill of health.

George is potty trained but needs to go out often. He will go to the back door to signal he needs to go out, but you need to be paying attention, as it may be quick. He loves the backyard and sometimes prefers to stay out and explore. So, a secure fenced yard would be best for him. The wind blowing leaves and things around the backyard still spook him, but he is gaining confidence with time.

At the end of the night, he loves playing fetch, chewing on his toy, and cuddling up in your lap, watching tv. He sleeps great in a crate at night but would also be happy if you let him sleep in bed with you.

George will do best in a loving, quiet home without young kids, possibly with another dog to show him the ways of a dog’s life. George is looking for someone who is ready to show him lots of love, affection, and patience as he gets over his timidness.
