Greta in Chesterfield, MO

My name is Greta. I’m a 13 pound, 7-year-old Blenheim Cavalier that has found freedom from my life as a breeding mom. I am so happy my tail wags so fast and so often my foster mom says it is like a fan in this heat. She tells me I am a beautiful baby girl deserving of princess status. 

I love my pack of 3 other pups and kitties and in my foster home. They are my security as is my foster mom. If at least one pup is with me I will not have separation anxiety. My foster mom keeps a cute harness and leash (I am fashion conscious!) on me all the time so she can guide me if needed. I have learned how to climb the stairs and learn new routines readily. I sleep soundly all night and am learning leash tracing.

Although I love cuddling with my foster Mom, I’m still triggered by my past life when she puts her hands out to pick me up. Once picked up I am happy and relieved. I sleep on a comfy bed next to my foster mom’s bed all night. I love following her around and also joining the pack antics. My fear of the crate is extreme so I stay in a large kitchen area that is gated. Potty training has been going very well. I eat Hills Science for adult small breed kibble with two feedings at 6AM and 5PM. I’m satisfied although treats are always welcome! I have no resource guarding issues.

To continue my new life journey I will need the support and love of a patient and loving person who is home most of the time and at least one other friendly dog. A safe, secure physical fence is a must.

I am heart clear, have been spayed and had a recent dental cleaning. I only have 4 teeth left and they will need to be monitored by my vet and eventually they may need to be extracted. I am assured I can still eat and drink even if that occurs! I am up to date on my vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.

I hope my new family is out there to join me in my journey.
