Meet Harvey! If there were ever a dog to define the word perfect, Harvey would be at the top of the list. He’s an absolute lover, the biggest sweetheart, and a total little heartbreaker with his puppy-dog eyes and charming personality.

Harvey is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, born on November 1, 2024. He’s incredibly sweet, a little sensitive, and can be a bit reserved at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal little shadow, always by your side.

He’s wonderful with other dogs and absolutely adores his big foster brother, so he’d love a forever home with another Cavalier (or similarly playful pup) to keep him company. Harvey is playful, curious, and loves his toys, especially figuring out how quickly he can tear them apart! He’s great at entertaining himself when his foster mom works from home and enjoys long walks, though he’s still learning good leash manners.

Potty training is going well as long as he has regular outdoor breaks every 3–4 hours. He sleeps soundly overnight in his crate and, true to his breed, prefers to be close to his people, so a crate in the bedroom would be ideal.

Like any puppy, Harvey loves to explore and can be mischievous, putting just about everything in his mouth. His biggest training focus right now is curbing his fascination with cars; he loves to chase and lunge at them on walks, so continued work on this is essential. Because of this, Harvey would do best in a home with a very secure, fully fenced yard and one that is safely away from busy streets, where he can enjoy outdoor time without risk.

Harvey is the perfect mix of spunky, energetic, and snuggly. He’ll happily sit in your lap for hours soaking up belly rubs and scratches. He’s fantastic with children, listens well, and thrives on attention and affection.

Harvey has received all puppy shots, is on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and received an A+ on his vet examination. He has a clear heart, solid knees and good teeth. Thus, he takes no medications. Harvey’s forever family will be required and must agree to have him neutered at about 9 or 10 months. He is currently too young for that procedure. The adoption will be based on that agreement and not final until proof of the completed procedure is provided to Cavalier Rescue USA.

Harvey is looking for an active, adventurous family who will include him in all their fun, whether it’s car rides, hikes, or long daily walks. He would especially love a home with another dog to cuddle with at the end of the day. As a young dog, Harvey needs a family committed to daily exercise, training, and lots of love. He’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the day to keep him company and help him grow into the wonderful dog he’s destined to be.
