Henry in Dallas, TX

Update 8-7-25: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more applications for now. Thank you!

Henry is a sweet eight-year-old Blenheim Cavalier who is as loyal as they come. While in foster care he has quickly proven himself to be one of the most devoted little companions you could ask for.

From the moment Henry entered foster care, it was clear that he bonds deeply and loves hard. He doesn’t play with toys much, but give him a cozy blanket and a person to love, and he’s perfectly content.

Henry gets along beautifully with his one-year-old Cavalier foster sister, though he prefers to watch her antics rather than join in. He’s a calm, mellow boy with the occasional burst of happy zoomies after a walk. He’s also fully house-trained, and does just fine when left alone for a few hours (although you’ll find him faithfully waiting by the door when you return.)

Henry recently had an echocardiogram that showed only mild heart enlargement (stage B1), which doesn’t require medication at this time, just continued periodic monitoring. He’s neutered, had a recent dental, and up to date on vaccinations.

Henry came into foster care with an ear infection that has been treated.

Henry is not a fan of crates, but he’s such a low maintenance housemate that it’s never been an issue.

Henry’s ideal home? Honestly, anywhere he’ll be cherished. Henry would thrive with someone home much of the day, and with another calm dog for gentle companionship. He’s easygoing, affectionate, and just wants to be near his person.

If you’re looking for a gentle soul with whom to share your couch, your quiet moments, and your heart, Henry may be your perfect match.

Henry is waiting eagerly to embark on his new journey with you, and shower you with unconditional love and devotion.
