Jacob in Coatesville, PA
Jacob is the absolute sweetest, most loving, playful, pluckiest, little snuggle bunny around! He is an absolute delight, and charms every person he meets while loving every second of it. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. Jacob is a happy little puppy, born on April 12, 2025.
This sweet little Ruby boy is from Chester County. Jacob came into rescue because he was born blind, and his breeder wanted him to have a good life. Jacob is very well adapted to being blind, and navigates well around the house and the yard.
He does use his foster dog brother and sisters as guides, as well as his foster Mom and Dad. Jacob absolutely adores playing with his foster bother dog and cat.

Jacob was born with multiple congenital ocular abnormalities. His eyeballs did not develop appropriately. He was also missing his lower eyelids (eyelid agenesis) and had dermoids. The eyelid agenesis and dermoids can be painful if not treated, so it was recommended that he have bilateral eye removal. Jacob had the eye removal surgery in July and has recovered nicely.
Jacob is on the smaller side, and is estimated to grow to about fifteen pounds as an adult.
Jacob is up to date on vaccines, but is not yet neutered due to his young age. He will need to be neutered when he is older. At this time, his testicles have not yet descended (cryptorchidism.) If they do not descend by the time he is neutered, the neuter surgery would be done via an incision in his abdomen. Jacob also has an umbilical hernia.
This little precious nugget of love is incredibly smart and loves to learn. Jacob is incredibly food motivated, and loves learning new things both for mental stimulation and to better help him navigate his world.
Jacob loves playing with toys, and is content to play in his play pen while his foster Mom works on her computer.
This special little fella is crate trained and mostly potty trained. His foster Mom has been doing positive reinforcement training with him, and he has already learned a lot of commands. Jacob can even do steps and navigate the fenced in back yard. He is learning to walk on a leash.
Jacob is ready for his next adventure with his new forever family and to be the center of attention showered with love and playtime! His new family should have a securely fenced yard for his safety.
It is also preferred that there be another dog (preferably with a calmer personality) in the house, as Jacob often uses the other dogs as his guide. Continuation of his training and socialization will be important.
Jacob is working on sharing toys. He does well with all kids, but a home without young kids is best.
