Lilly in Prairie Village, KS
Say hello to this sweet, seven year old Blenheim girl, Lilly. Lilly was born on March 20, 2019.

Lilly’s original owner was unable to care for her, and she was dropped off at a vet clinic. The vet then contacted rescue.
Lilly had a significant ear infection and needed a dental. She was also suffering from a flea dermatitis allergy. Her ear infection and dermatitis were both treated. Lilly also has a mild grade I/II heart murmur that does not currently require medication.

Lilly had a dental cleaning and she lost a few teeth. She has now recovered and is feeling great.

Lilly has been a delight at her foster home. She is so sweet and easy-going. She enjoys time on the couch with her foster parents, or on their laps. She’s a Velcro dog and likes to be near them. When she’s sitting next to you and is being petted, she will look at you for a few seconds and then paw your hand to keep petting her. She will maneuver under any unoccupied, unsuspecting hand and insist on affection.

Lilly gets along great with the foster family’s dogs. She loves to go outside and is usually one of the first ones out the door.

Occasionally she’ll sit by the door and sometimes bark to go out. Lilly has great house training skills, and has not had any accidents in her foster house.

When it’s nice outside, she loves to be in the fenced backyard hunting and exploring every corner of the yard. If she sees a squirrel, she will chase after it. She is usually the last dog to come into the house. Sometimes it is hard to get her to come back inside …but when foster parents say “treat,” she comes running!

She loves to eat and has no problem taking pills, especially when they are wrapped in cheese. She loves her treats and will sit on command.

Lilly has had itching skin problems, but medicine from the vet has helped. On occasion foster Mom will catch her licking her paws at nighttime, though it may only be out of habit. Foster Mom gave Lilly a bath with soothing dog bath gel, and Lilly enjoyed the experience very much.

Lilly is well-behaved when taking her for a walk. She loves to sniff everything and doesn’t pull on the leash unless she sees a squirrel …and then you’d better hold on tight because she will bolt toward it.
Her new owners will need to be very careful when opening front and back doors as she may dash out. Lilly will definitely need a securely fenced yard.

Lilly has been an easy foster dog, and she will be a great addition to the right family. She is micro-chipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines and takes monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
Lilly’s forever home for her would be one with someone home much of the day.
