Lily Rose in Hingham, MA
Lily Rose is a sweet senior Cavalier seeking a soft place to land. She is a 10‑year‑old, spayed, female, black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a gentle spirit, a big heart, and an even bigger love of mealtimes. She came into rescue after her previous owner entered a care facility, and she’s now ready to find a forever home that will cherish her in her golden years.

Lily Rose is a classic Cavalier—sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her person. She loves belly rubs, ear massages, and curling up on the back of the couch to watch the world go by. She doesn’t jump on people and is wonderfully gentle with dogs, cats, and young children. She can be a little anxious when left alone and will bark if she hears her person outside. Baby gates are no match for her — she’s a determined little lady— so her new home should be mindful of open doors, as she has tried to sneak out.

Lily Rose LOVES her meals. She is highly food-motivated and full of opinions. Breakfast comes after her morning walk, and dinner is at 5:00–5:30 PM sharp. She will march into the kitchen and bark at the counter until her chef arrives. She eats kibble with grains, takes her heart medication mixed into her food, and enjoys a treat sprinkled on top. She eats quickly and will happily “help” other dogs finish their bowls.
Lily enjoys a mile‑long walk in good weather and does her business quickly. In hot or humid weather, she’ll politely decline the outing. Indoors, she uses stairs to reach the couch. She also likes nibbling on plants and grass.

Lily Rose has several manageable medical needs. She takes medication twice daily for a grade 5 heart murmur, and will need periodic cardiology check‑ins. She has mild hearing loss and a bit of weakness in her hip joints. She recently had a dental cleaning. Lily is up-to-date on immunizations and preventatives and has been microchipped. None of this slows her down! She is bright, loving, and eager to be part of a family.

Lily Rose is looking for a calm, predictable home that can maintain her medication schedule and provide gentle mobility support. Her new family should be prepared to offer patience during her transition period and a secure, safe environment. She is a bit of an escape artist so vigilance with doors and outdoor access points should be a priority. Use of a crate is NOT recommended for Lily. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but walks are recommended for exercise and joint health. Lily can be anxious when her people leave, so someone home most of the day is a must.

If you are looking for a companion who is happy to accompany you wherever you go, who is a cuddly senior girl who bonds deeply and becomes a devoted shadow, someone who will nap beside you and follow you from room to room, and remind you when dinner is late, Lily Rose is your girl.
