Lucy and Birdie in Trophy Club, TX

JUST ADOPTED!

Here are the pups with their new family…

Lucy and Birdie are sweet, bonded girls who have never been apart. Birdie is a 7-year-old (5/7/2016) Tricolor and Lucy is an 11-year-old (3/2/2013) Blenheim. The girls came into rescue due to no fault of their own when their family could no longer give them the attention they deserve.

They are kind and sweet with people & other dogs. Birdie is a little shy at first but then she warms right up and is your typical Velcro girl who follow you everywhere. They are trained to use a doggie door or (when none exists) they will bark at the back door to let you know that it is time to go out.

They have had no accidents in foster care. They put themselves to bed in their crates at night when they are tired at about 8pm and you do not hear a peep until the morning. They also like to travel in the car. They do pull some on the leash so will need a bit of work on leash manners. These are wonderful girls who will make a family incredibly happy.

Birdie is such a sweet and affectionate girl.  She likes to sit in laps and wants to go where you go. She likes to smell a treat for a second before eating it and is very delicate. She weighs 20 lbs and is a healthy girl with a perfect heart. She does have luxating patellas but is having no issues and the vet does not recommend any treatment. She is current on vaccines and is on heartworm preventative.

Lucy is a funny girl full of personality. She likes her naps but if she wants something she will let you know. If it is past 5pm and you have not given her dinner, she will bark at you. Same if she has to go potty or just wants a treat. She loves food and gobbles it down fast. She is more independent and likes her treats and some pets and then will go to a nice bed or her crate to nap. Lucy weighs 20 lbs. She is hard of hearing but sure will perk up if she hears you in the kitchen! She has a grade 1 heart murmur which is very good for her age. She also has a little arthritis and a luxating patella on her left side but she gets around very well and does not act her age. The vet recommends a joint supplement. She is current on vaccines and is on heartworm prevention.

These sweet & loving girls will make a family so happy. We would like a home for them with a fenced yard and low alone time. They really enjoy being out in the yard and laying outside on a pretty day.
