Meet Macy – A Blenheim Bundle of Joy!

Macy recently celebrated her 4-month birthday and is counting down the days to month five – ideally with her forever family by her side! This sweet Blenheim baby is full of life, love, and playful energy.

Macy was lovingly surrendered by a family facing challenges beyond their control. Since arriving in foster care, she’s been stealing hearts left and right with her infectious personality. She zips around the house, hops between dog beds like it’s a game, and nestles in for cuddles and cat naps. When she’s ready for a deeper snooze, you’ll find her curled up in her foster dad’s lap, nuzzled in like a baby with her head on his chest which is her favorite way to rest.

Macy is incredibly affectionate and adores her two Cavalier foster siblings, but it’s her bond with her human foster siblings – a 10-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl – that truly melts hearts. She thrives on their attention. When a toddler visits regularly, she is greeted with gentle affection. Although she hasn’t lived with cats, she’s met the neighborhood felines without a fuss.

Being a young pup, Macy is still a work in progress when it comes to potty training. She’s on a consistent schedule and making strides. But like any puppy, she has her off days. With someone home most of the time, she gets lots of support, and it’s clear she’s trying her best.

She’s also learning leash manners and doing quite well with this! When bedtime rolls around, Macy happily trots into her kennel in her foster parents’ room, knowing a treat awaits her. Though her foster siblings get to sleep on the big bed, Macy doesn’t mind and will settle quietly into her kennel and sleep through the night.

Macy will be happiest and do best with someone home most of the time. Older children are her favorite. Cats may take some getting used to. A fully fenced yard, with a neighborhood for walks would be great for her. Also, she would love a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (or two) as a sibling(s), or a small playful sibling of another similar breed.
