Mason in Ocala, FL

Hi my name is Mason I’m 5 year old and a sweet black and tan boy. I’m enjoying my foster home and hope I can be adopted soon by a kind family.

When I first came to my foster I was very shy and fearful, but now I’m not fearful and I enjoy going outside and playing with my foster family. 

Mason’s foster mom says: Mason is very affectionate and sweet boy. He loves to be with you and follow you around and cuddle. Since arriving in foster care, he has been neutered and his vaccinations brought up to date. He has been started on flea/tick and heart worm preventives. Mason was not house trained when he came into foster but has done real well and only needs frequent potty breaks. He is getting to the point where he lets you know when he needs to go out. He loves being outside and seeing everything going on. Leash training is going well, but will benefit from further training. He definitely needs a fenced in yard to play as he loves being outside.

Mason is very much a boy he loves to run around and is very curious. He loves to play and chase around with other dogs. Another playful dog would be a benefit. He loves to get on the couch and sit with his people. He sleeps in his crate each night and sleeps all night, never a peep from him till morning. He probably would love to sleep with you but is happy in his crate. Mason has not been around small children or cats as far as we know so we won’t place him in a family with those.

Mason will make a wonderful addition to a loving home. It would be best for him to have someone around most of the time. He needs more supervision and training than a dog raised from a puppy.
