Mochi in Northbrook, IL

Meet Mochi, a sweet and lovable Blenheim looking for her forever home! Mochi is a 5-year-old (her birthday is 7-17-2021), 25-pound female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is as sweet as they come. She was given to Cavalier Rescue USA by her breeder who wanted the perfect forever home to be found for her. She arrived with a very short haircut, but it’s growing out nicely and she should have a long, beautiful, natural Cavalier coat in no time.

With her calm and gentle personality, Mochi is a loving companion who enjoys being very close to her people and soaking up all the attention she can get. Mochi can be a little shy when meeting other dogs, but she is curious about them and takes her time getting comfortable. She is friendly with new people and is especially sweet with children.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Mochi may be your girl! One of her favorite things in the world is getting belly rubs, and she is always happy to settle in and enjoy some love and attention from her people. She is a very lovable girl who would thrive in a home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. Mochi is house trained and crate trained for sleeping. She hardly ever barks, making her a wonderfully quiet companion.

Mochi enjoys being outside and loves exploring her surroundings. She especially enjoys running after squirrels, so a safe, physically fenced yard is important for her to have in her forever home so she can continue to enjoy some off leash outdoor time. She also walks nicely on a leash and would love to take leisurely neighborhood walks with her forever family.

Mochi is a very healthy girl! She was spayed and had a dental with extractions while in our care. She is also up to date on her core vaccines, heartworm, flea/tick preventatives and is microchipped. Mochi is a bit overweight, so she needs a family that is devoted to her continued weight loss journey with a healthy food, controlled portions and daily exercise. She is also currently on a joint supplement since she has been overweight since arriving to her foster home.

Mochi is a very sweet girl with so much love to give, and her gentle nature and curiosity make her a wonderful companion. Once she knows you, she is ready to give you all the love she has.
