Nikee in Lakewood, OH

Meet Nikee, pronounced Nikke, a sweet and incredibly smart 8-year-old Cavachon looking for her perfect forever home! Nikee found herself in foster care after her previous owner moved to Florida, but she has transitioned beautifully and is ready for her next chapter.

Her foster dad jokingly nicknamed her “MacGyver” because she is a brilliant little problem solver who can easily outsmart any indoor house gate meant to keep her in her room while her humans are away. She is a quiet girl overall, though she will occasionally alert you if a rogue squirrel or rabbit dares to enter her territory.

Nikee loves exploring a secure yard, but she’s an efficient girl who takes care of business and prefers to head back inside where the comfort is. She is the ultimate shadow dog and companion — always ready to hop up on the couch to snuggle tightly on your lap while you read, scroll on your phone, or watch a movie.

While she gets along great with other dogs, she doesn’t actually need a furry sibling to feel complete and would thrive as your one and only. Most importantly, Nikee has slept cuddled up in bed with her human her entire life, and she absolutely needs a forever family who will welcome her under the covers for nighttime snuggles.
