Peaches and Abby in Wakeman, OH

Hi everyone! We are Peaches and Abby, a mother-daughter gorgeous Blenheim bonded pair of Cavalier ages 5 and 2. We came to Cavalier Rescue USA when our owner retired us from breeding.

We are learning the ropes at our foster home. We had not lived inside a house before. There are so many strange things in our lives now. Toys wow! We had no idea what they were for but being curious we made lots of discoveries. Our foster brother and sister have helped us tremendously. The thing that is called a doorbell rings sometimes and that means you bark. Dogs have beds! Who knew that? We learned they are comfy and you nap on them. We have settled in and are getting a routine down now.

At night we sleep in a crate snuggled up together. Foster Mom gets us up in the morning and outside we go to do our business. During the day we go out often for potty breaks. We like going for walks. Foster Mom has us wearing a harness on most of our walks and we walk well on a leash. We behave very well in the car. Mostly we like to snooze in the car on our rides.

We are extremely fascinated with the birds. We fixate on them and love to chase them. We also chase leaves flying through the air, squirrels and rabbits and cats, whatever will run. We will require a securely fenced in yard to keep us safe. We play together, growling and pushing each other about. Sometimes a tug of war with a toy is lots of fun too.

We have good appetites and are gaining some weight. Recently we went to see the veterinarian. We received vaccinations, micro chips, and we were spayed. Now we are looking for our forever home with someone to love and care for us. We like to snuggle up on your lap and be close to you. We have much love and many kisses to give!

Foster mom says: Peaches and Abby both are a bit shy but have warmed up to us wonderfully. They are very loving and sweet and enjoying being close to you, preferably on your lap. They do not bark much unless they see something outside that requires a couple barks. They are doing very well with their house training. Peaches and Abby do not know how to ask to go outside for potty breaks. They can be left alone for a couples hours without any accidents. Peaches will eat all her food rapidly. I have been feeding them in their crates as Abby eats slowly. Since they had lived outside we are hoping for a person that may work from home or be retired that could be with them to help them continue adjusting to life inside a home. Peaches weighs 12 pounds and Abby weighs 15.
