Meet Peanut, a precious 5-year-old girl born 9-14-20 who is pure love wrapped in the most beautiful package. If you’re looking for a companion whose greatest joy in life is you, she is your girl. 

The moment you sit down, she’s there—frequently wrapping her paws around your neck and showering you with the sweetest kisses. She lives for couch snuggles, belly rubs, and simply being wherever her people are. Whether you’re moving from room to room going about your day, or settling in for the evening, she happily follows along just to be close.

Peanut adores people of all kinds — women, men, and older children — and greets everyone with the same gentle affection. Peanut has not been tested with younger children or cats in the foster’s home. At night, Peanut prefers to sleep quietly and peacefully in her crate like a little angel. She loves being outdoors, going for walks, and enjoys relaxing moments of lounging and sunbathing on the back porch. 

Peanut has been diagnosed with luxating patellas in both legs, but she manages this beautifully. This condition simply needs routine monitoring at this time by a veterinarian. Peanut gets around without issues or pain and genuinely enjoys being active in her home. 

Peanut is up to date on all her vaccinations and is microchipped. She will also need a patient adopter to continue working with her on potty training, as she can have the occasional accident in the house. She is adept at using a doggy door but still needs reminders to go outdoors to potty throughout the day. 

Peanut’s ideal home would include a securely fenced yard where she can explore freely and easily continue her potty training. This little love bug will thrive in a calm, nurturing home where companionship and snuggling is part of everyday life. Her happiest place is right beside her people—so a home where someone is around much of the day would be perfect for her.

She would do wonderfully in a quieter household with adults or older, respectful children. A slower-paced home (rather than a very busy, chaotic one) will help her feel secure and settled.  Although Peanut gets along beautifully with other dogs, having another canine companion is not necessary for her to be content.

What Peanut will offer in return is immeasurable: unwavering devotion, constant companionship, and a heart overflowing with love. If you want a shadow, a snuggle buddy, and a best friend who thinks you are the center of her universe, this sweet girl is waiting to meet you.
