Penny in Dallas, TX
Meet Penny, Your New Best Friend!
Penny is a happy, playful 2-year-old (3/16/24) girl who is ready to find her forever family. With her affectionate personality, joyful spirit, and love of cuddles, she has a special way of winning over everyone she meets.

Penny’s favorite things include playing with her foster dog siblings, chasing toys, going for walks, riding in the car, and snuggling with her people. If she had her way, she’d happily spend the entire day curled up in your lap. Whether you’re heading to a coffee shop, the park, or simply relaxing at home, Penny is always excited to be by your side.

She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, children, and adults of all ages. Penny is a social butterfly who loves attention, affection, and making new friends. She would especially thrive in a home with another playful dog companion.

At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate though she would love to snuggle in your bed if allowed! She has not had an accident in the house in over two months and is doing great with her house training. Like any dog, she will continue to benefit from a consistent routine and regular potty breaks. She can be vocal when she’s excited or playing, but her enthusiasm is all part of her charming personality.

Penny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Penny does experience some separation anxiety, so she would do best with a family that is home most of the time and has another dog to keep her company. She forms strong bonds with her canine companions and takes comfort in having a furry friend nearby while you are away. Because she is small, curious, and adventurous, she will also need a securely fenced yard to help keep her safe.

Penny came into the rescue with luxating patella’s in both of her back legs. She recently underwent corrective surgery on her right leg and has fully recovered, successfully completing her post-surgical physical therapy. Her left leg currently has a grade 2 luxating patella, but surgery is not recommended at this time. While we can’t predict whether she may need treatment in the future, Penny is currently living a happy, active life and shows no signs of letting her condition hold her back. She loves to run, play, explore, and keep up with her canine friends, embracing every day with enthusiasm and joy.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will fill your home with laughter, affection, and endless cuddles, Penny may be the perfect match. She has so much love to give and is ready to find the family who will cherish her for the rest of her life.
