Petie in Dillsburg, PA

Meet Petie, the pint-sized powerhouse of charm born around January 15th of this year! This little tricolor Cavalier may be small in stature, at less than 5 lbs, but he’s got a heart of gold and a spirit as mighty as a lion! Rescued from a Lancaster County breeding facility alongside his momma, Petie is ready to conquer the world one wag at a time.

Despite his tiny frame, Petie holds his own with the big dogs and has even mastered the art of doggy door navigation. Talk about a small dog with big dreams! While he’s a pro at keeping his crate and ex-pen spick and span, Petie is still working on mastering the fine art of bathroom etiquette indoors. Hey, nobody’s perfect, right?

When he’s not busy charming the pants off everyone he meets, Petie loves nothing more than engaging in epic wrestling matches with his furry foster siblings. He’s a bundle of affection and playfulness, always eager to shower his foster parents with kisses and snuggles. And don’t even get him started on being carried around like canine royalty – it’s his absolute favorite!

Now, let’s talk about Petie’s unique feature: his adorable overbite. Sure, it might give him a bit of a goofy grin, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. With a gourmet taste for dehydrated chicken breast and other yummy delights, this pup knows how to indulge in the finer things in life. However, it is something to watch as he grows as it may require some dental work in the future. He will need to be neutered when he is older (9 months of age) and we ask that his new family provide proof of neutering.

As he continues to grow and learn, Petie is mastering important life skills like avoiding being stepped on (a crucial talent for a pup of his size), potty training, crate training, and basic obedience commands. With each passing day, Petie is proving that big things come in small packages – and he’s ready to steal your heart with his infectious charm and undeniable zest for life!

Petie is looking for a family who will teach him everything he needs to know to be a well behaved Cavalier. Adventures would be great as well as he is an active puppy. A canine playmate would be appreciated by Petie.
