Reggie and Rex in Nashville, TN

Reggie and Rex are two sweet, social, and smart 4‑year‑old tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniels born 07/03/2021. They came to Cavalier Rescue USA after their owner, who loved them very much, had a serious health issue. These bonded boys adore people, enjoy exploring the world together, and bring a gentle, joyful presence wherever they go.

Reggie and Rex are working on their leash manners, but they love going for walks and will do best with a fenced‑in backyard where they can safely enjoy outdoor time. They are house trained; leash trained and know how to use a doggie door. Both boys enjoy car rides and are always excited for an outing. They do well with other dogs of all sizes and can live with a mellow, older cat, though they are still figuring out exactly what to make of them. They are wonderful with children and enjoy exploring alongside them. Noise and commotion do not bother these calm, easygoing boys, and they would thrive in a family environment with someone home much of the day to offer companionship and cuddles. They each weigh 22 lbs,  have recently lost a few pounds, and are approaching their ideal weight.

Reggie is the more vocal and expressive of the pair, often greeting you with enthusiasm and an adorable head tilt that makes him look especially inquisitive. He tends to take the lead and will happily seek out affection throughout the day.

Rex is the quieter, more reserved and observant brother who looks to Reggie for cues. He loves to cuddle in the evenings and may be hard of hearing. Since coming into rescue, he has been treated for an ear infection and a UTI, and while he has received a clean bill of health, he should be monitored for any future signs of either condition.

Both boys have been neutered, are up‑to‑date on all vaccines and preventatives, and have been microchipped.
