Riley in Plymouth, MA

Riley is lowkey, easygoing, and the perfect choice if you’re looking for a calm, loving friend to share your days with. Since he is very attached to his person, he would do best with a family where someone is home most of the time. He is great with kids and other dogs. He has not been tested around cats. His happy place has a generous supply of treats and a comfy spot where he can be with his person and snooze throughout the day. Riley walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys short walks. While a fenced yard is not required, it would be a welcome  change for him. 

In general, Riley’s health is good. At eight years old he is heart clear and is up-to-date on immunizations and preventatives. He weighs 25 lbs. While in rescue he will have a dental cleaning with some possible extractions. Riley does have a seizure disorder though and experiences 4-6 seizures, on average, each year. He has been seen by a neurologist who feels that they are most likely due to epilepsy. Thankfully, his seizures are well managed with daily medication. To keep him healthy in the following years, he’ll need routine blood work every six months to make sure his medication levels stay just right. His care is straightforward, and he is a great patient. In return, Riley will show his appreciation by showering you with endless love and loyalty.
