Rosie in Kenilworth, IL

Hi! My name is Rosie and I am a tiny 13-pound bundle of chocolate love! I was given to Cavalier Rescue USA by my breeder who wanted the perfect forever home to be found for me. I am a 3-year-old (my birthday is 11-7-2022) Chocolate and Tan Cavalier and I have the biggest heart for everyone I meet. All I want in life is to share my love with my new people. I love nothing more than cuddling on the couch next to my foster mom or lounging on my furry dog bed at her feet while she works. I can’t be close enough! I have a calm personality and a gentle temperament and do not bark except when my people return home; I have to tell them just how much I love them.

I like all dogs, including my big black lab foster brother. He has taught me many new things in my foster home, so it would be nice to have a canine friend like him in my forever home. I like all new people I meet too. Really, I just love everyone! I love to make new human friends by meeting them on the couch where I can sit next to them and they can pet me and give me lots of attention.

In just a short amount of time I have learned to walk on a leash and have mostly gotten used to the loud trains nearby and planes overhead.  I really enjoy exploring my foster mom’s physically fenced yard, so I would love to have my own safe yard in my forever home. I can be afraid of new sounds but comfortable when reassured by my foster mom. 

I am almost fully housetrained and I can hold it all night. I sleep in a crate in the bedroom near my foster mom, but I would LOVE to be able to sleep in the big bed with my new person as being physically close is important to me. Did I mention I love cuddling? 

I am a very healthy little girl! I have a clear heart, sound knees and I have recently undergone a spay, dental (with several extractions), am up to date on vaccines, heartworm/flea/tick prevention and am microchipped.
