Sadie in Talala, OK

Sadie is a 6-year-old Blenheim female whose owner has developed health difficulties that prevent her from taking proper care of Sadie. She adopted her last September, but more recently has not been able to go outside with her. 

Sadie was born March 10th of 2018. She lived in a large breeding facility and most of her life was in a crate. Sadie came to us very scared and shy, but she really opened up. After just a few weeks she is all smiles and runs to greet you when you return home. She will cuddle with you all day. She is still a little frightened of loud noises or sudden movements, but she loves to follow you and is a great companion.

Sadie is up to date on vaccinations and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She is healthy and is spayed, had a dental, and got her ears flushed. She is microchipped. She is heart and structurally clear. It is recommended that her ears get checked periodically for cleanliness and infection. 

Sadie is working on potty training. She can’t tell you she needs to go but if you take her outside, she is very quick and knows exactly what to do. She requires that you go outside with her and needs to be on a regular potty schedule. She needs consistency and patience but will respond well. Her owner has not been able to go out with her easily which has affected her housetraining. 

Sadie loves to take walks but needs more practice with a leash. This is also something difficult for her previous owner. She would prefer to just follow you anywhere. Sadie loves car rides and would like to go with you, but she also doesn’t mind her crate and will sleep and wait for you to return home. 

She sleeps in a crate or dog bed, however; she would prefer to snuggle with you in your bed or with another dog if possible. Sadie would do best in a quiet home with someone home most of the time. She needs a fenced yard and would like another calm companion dog, but not required. Older children would be preferred as she startles at sudden movements and noise.
