Scout in Lakewood, OH

Meet the most beautiful, easy-going, and laid-back 8.5-year-old Blenheim you will ever know. Scout came to Cavalier Rescue USA from a very busy family that was not able to give her the attention that she needed. Scout was recently taken to the vet and received a clean bill of health with no heart murmurs. She did recently get her teeth cleaned with some extractions. None of this has stopped her from enjoying her life with her foster family.

Scout loves following you around the house, napping on a good sun-drenched chair, and sprawling out on the cold tile floor after an intense run around her fenced-in yard. She enjoys sleeping in her crate at night; however, she wouldn’t scoff at an owner who allows her to take over their pillow in bed. Although she has been known to snore on occasion, she does not do it consistently and enjoys a sound sleep in your arms. Scout loves a good car ride, a long walk, or just snuggling on your lap while you watch TV or read a book.

Scout is completely house-trained and crate-trained. She adores the company of other dogs, teenagers, and adults, and adapts quickly to new surroundings. She enjoys being home with the family and would thrive in an environment with a stay-at-home/work-from-home caregiver. Scout has not been around cats or small children in her foster home. However, she was raised with a cat and two young children in her early years.

Scout is treat motivated. She has been loving some “healthier” treat options like carrots, peppers, raspberries, and strawberries…NOT celery! She is very smart and knows how to sneak past the gate that is left up in the sunroom when she is home alone with her fur buddies. When she has free roam of the house without any supervision, we still come home to her lounging in her favorite chair and the house in the exact shape we left it in.
