Sofia in Castro Valley, CA

This beautiful sweetheart is Sofia. She was born on Cinco de Mayo in 2025 and is just a year old. She is a petite little girl at 11 pounds with a sleek, glossy black and tan coat. Sofia is a bit timid at first but warms up quickly. She loves to snuggle and is a classic lap dog.

Sofia is house and crate trained. She sleeps quietly in her crate but would love to join your big bed. She is house trained if let out often. She consistently uses the dog door in her foster home. Sofia likes chewy toys and enjoys shredding paper. She also loves ice cubes and plays hockey with them on the hardwood floors. She loves chasing and wrestling with her same aged foster sister and would do well with a playful canine partner in her new home.

You can’t tell by her lean form that Sofia is a little chow hound and might need a slow feeding bowl in her future, she is very food motivated! She does have a bit of separation anxiety but she can be distracted with a treat dispensing ball.

Sweet Sofia was surrendered by her owners when they realized she wasn’t a good fit for farm life. While in foster care her vaccines have been updated and she was spayed. She had some mild ear infections that have been treated and cleared up. She is heart and overall healthy. This precious girl has so much love to give and can’t wait to find her forever home.
