Stewart in Wakeman, OH

Hello everyone! My name is Stewart and I am looking for my forever home. I am a tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 6 year old, neutered male. My foster family is not sure what happened to my first home but my second home was very busy. They got in touch with Cavalier Rescue USA and surrendered me. They had three BIG dogs and one small dog and there were two kids also. I was spending too much time in a crate.

I would love to have a quiet home with someone home quite a bit. My house training is good but I do not know how to ask to go outside for potty breaks. I am very well behaved, I do not bark unless it is necessary. I am looking forward to being allowed to sleep in the bed with my person. I love to snuggle in on the sofa by my foster parents. I have a foster brother who is also a tricolor Cavalier. We get along very well together. I would very much enjoy having a securely fenced in yard to lounge about in. This way I am kept safe and secure from other big dogs that might be around. There is a cat around here and I respect her and will keep my distance from her. Cats have sharp claws and have been known to smack dogs for no reason, so I am careful around cats.

I ride very well in the car and I enjoy going to the bike path for walks. I walk very well on a leash. I prefer to stay close to my humans but I also like to explore. There are many smells to be sniffed. There are toys here but I do not play very much with them. Occasionally I will chase a ball with my foster brother.

One place I am not thrilled about going to is the vet. Yes, I had to go! I was neutered and got my teeth cleaned and my vaccines all updated. The Vet said I am in good health and that I am micro chipped. I am good to go to my forever home now.

Stewart’s foster mom says: Stewart is a very quiet Cavalier. He can be energetic but seems to prefer a calm lifestyle. He does enjoy going for walks, especially if there is a car ride involved. We walk Stewart with a harness and a leash on. Once he has settled in with you he is very cuddly, snuggly and just full of love. He fits right in and causes no trouble. Stewart eats his food slowly, crunches each kibble and seems grateful that he is allowed to do this.
