Sweet Tea in Plymouth, MI

JUST ADOPTED!

Sweet Tea is a whole glassful of spunk! He’s a 6-month-old Blenheim born 10/2/23 who came into rescue when the family he was with could no longer care for him.

Sweet Tea is a little shy initially with people, preferring to wrestle non-stop with his sibling puppies. While is foster care, he has adjusted to being on a regular routine. He enjoys playtime best of all. Second best is practicing his leash skills by taking walks outdoors. He eats and sleeps in his crate, easily going into the crate when his foster mom leaves the house. He is curious about everything, mostly exploring by putting things in his mouth—so he needs to be watched and distracted with an appropriate toy.

In the evening Sweet Tea wants to snuggle on the couch next to his foster family. He is still working on his house manners, so needs someone home during the day to allow him frequent potty trips outdoors. He barks at meal time and when his foster family leaves the house, but then only for a few barks. He sleeps through the night (12 pm – 6 am) without needing any potty breaks.

Sweet Tea is on a kibble diet and politely eats his food at breakfast and dinner. At 10 pounds, Sweet Tea is a smaller Cavalier, although still growing. He travels well in the car. Sweet Tea is truly a sweetheart of a dog: shy yet spirited, snuggly yet wiggly, and full of unconditional love!

Sweet Tea will need a forever home with another small young dog and someone home during the day for potty breaks! A fenced yard and short walks would also be important. He will settle in best in a family with a routine and moderate activity level.

Sweet Tea is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is a healthy puppy. He will need to be neutered when he is around 9 months old.
