T-bone in Falls Church, VA

T-bone is an active, sweet, and loving male tricolor Cavalier puppy. T-bone came to rescue with his brother Teddy. Sadly, his owner passed away unexpectedly, and family members made the kind and compassionate decision to allow Cavalier Rescue USA to re-home these two puppies.

Always ready to play, T-bone is also happy to just sit with you – well, for a little while, because soon it will be time to play! He loves his chew toys, running with the resident Cavalier in the yard, and thinks that training time is just another kind of playing. His manners are superb – he plays gently with the small children across the street, lets the kids take toys from his mouth, and will let anyone hold him, walk him, or pet him. He hasn’t been tested with cats. He sleeps in his crate at night and during nap time. He rests on a pad in the living room while I am reading, watching TV, eating, etc. (though he prefers being on a lap).

T-bone is scheduled to be neutered soon. This 9-month-old, 17-pound boy is the perfect size. Standing about 12” tall, the vet says that he’s about as tall as he will be but will fill out as he matures. His health is excellent, and he will be the perfect puppy for someone who can give him the mental and physical stimulation he needs to grow up into a perfect Cavalier companion.

He is very sociable, enjoys training classes, and would love to participate in activities like rally or agility that let him play with his people. He is learning basic commands such as sit, down, and recall. While his leash walking skills are what you’d expect from a puppy, he responds to gentle, positive guidance.

T-bone thrives on being with his people and he will do best in a family with someone home much of the time. Being a Cavalier, the more time he is with you, the better!
