Teddy in Converse, TX

Teddy is a sweet 3-year-old Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born on 09/23/2022, with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He enjoys being close to his people and is happiest when he can relax nearby, soaking up companionship and affection.

Teddy is looking for a patient, understanding home that will allow him to settle in at his own pace. While he is a calm and loving boy, he can be sensitive to sudden movements and may flinch if someone moves too quickly around him. Because of this, he will thrive with people who are gentle, predictable, and willing to help him continue building confidence and trust.

Based on his needs, Teddy is seeking a home with a calm male presence, as he appears to be most comfortable and secure with men. He cannot be placed in a home with cats and would do best with well-mannered, non-resource-guarding dogs who are comfortable sharing space, attention, toys, and routines.

A securely fenced yard is required, and Teddy would love a home where someone is around most of the time. He forms strong bonds with his people and feels most secure when he has plenty of companionship and limited alone time.

Teddy was recently neutered and is relatively well house-trained, although he may occasionally mark as he adjusts to a new environment. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he continues to make great progress.

Teddy’s ideal family will see the wonderful dog he is beneath his cautious exterior — a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. Given time and understanding, Teddy will reward his family with endless devotion and companionship.
