Theo in Lake Forest, CA
Update: Theo currently has a match with a family from our existing applications on file. We will look at other applicants if this should not move forward to his adoption.
Meet Theo, your future best friend! This sweet and playful 4-month-old Blenheim puppy is ready to start life with a loving forever family. Theo came to Cavalier Rescue USA when an unexpected illness led his family to make the difficult decision to rehome him, knowing it was in his best interest.

Like all puppies, Theo is curious, affectionate, and learning about the world one day at a time. He is currently working on house-training, basic manners, confidence-building, and will thrive in a home committed to continued positive reinforcement and consistency.

Theo is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and will be adopted with a neuter contract. Theo has charmed everyone he has met during his time in rescue and has been nicknamed the Thief of Hearts! His foster home is a busy household with several other canine companions, a few cats and two social teenagers that come and go throughout the day.

Theo enjoys spending time exploring the secure yard and will do best in a new home with limited alone hours. Theo’s best buddy is a gentle giant Golden Retriever who is showing him the ropes with patience and plenty of tail wagging guidance.

Puppies require a meaningful commitment, and the points below outline key areas of care to help set both Theo and his new family up for success.
• Training and patience are key. Puppies thrive with consistent, positive training and gentle guidance. When a puppy feels safe, secure, and loved, desired behaviors are easier to teach and become more reliable over time.
• Puppy energy comes in waves. Energy levels will naturally vary throughout the day. Regular playtime, age-appropriate exercise, mental enrichment, and positive socialization are essential to healthy physical and emotional development.
• Patience as your puppy matures makes all the difference. Allowing your puppy the time and support to grow will help them blossom into a confident family companion. Enrolling in a positive-reinforcement obedience class is highly encouraged, as it strengthens the bond between dog and owner while providing valuable structure.
