Thor is a 4-year old Cavalier with a gentle heart and an irresistible cuddly streak. He came into rescue when his previous owners realized they could no longer give him the care and time he deserved. He has been nothing but loving, affectionate, and eager to bond since the moment he arrived.

Thor is a classic velcro Cavalier — he loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see you, follow you, or curl up beside you for a nap. His temperament is wonderfully sweet and steady.

He enjoys the outdoors and a securely fenced yard would be heaven for him to explore. He loves taking walks, and sniffing everything new, but he’s just as content to settle in for snuggles and quiet time. His energy level is a comfortable medium: excited to greet you and ready for adventure, but quick to relax and nap once he’s had his fill.

Thor gets along beautifully with children of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs. He can be a bit shy at first around larger breeds, but with gentle introductions he warms up. Thor responds well to calm, patient guidance and does best with someone who leads with kindness. He is working on house training and not marking, is crate trained for nighttime and when left alone, and walks nicely on a leash. He also doesn’t mind baths, and happily tolerates being blow dried afterward — a small but charming bonus for grooming days.

Thor is in excellent health with no known medical concerns. During his time in foster care he was neutered and had treatment for two ear infections. He was also brought up to date with his vaccines and is on heart worm and flea/tick prevention. Because he bonds so deeply, he will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time — a family who works from home, a retired couple, or anyone who simply enjoys having a loyal little shadow nearby. Another friendly dog companion would be a welcome plus but isn’t required.

What makes Thor truly special is the way he connects. He checks in with soft eyes, leans in for affection, and brings a warm, comforting presence to any room he’s in. He’s the kind of dog who makes a house feel full and loved. Thor is ready for his forever family — one that will appreciate his gentle spirit, enjoy his cuddly nature, continue his training and give him the steady companionship he craves.
