Tucker in Zimmerman, MN

Meet Tucker! This 10-year-old Cavalier born 09/04/2016 is one spunky guy! You would not guess he was 10 with his energy level. Want a walking companion? Tucker is ready to go! He can easily keep up and walk with his owner.

When it comes to small critters, hunting instincts are strong with this guy. He is great with other dogs, but cats, goldfish, alligators, bears, snakes, or literally anything else that moves are a hard NO to co-exist with Tucker. Because of that chase drive, he requires a securely fenced yard. Tucker loves to chase butterflies and squirrels in the back yard hoping to catch one to introduce himself. Then after a hard adventure play, his battery runs out, and he is out completely cold doing what a Cavalier does best, nap and snore.

Tucker is fully house trained and crate trained with a simple “load up” command, though if given the choice, he strongly prefers claiming a spot on the couch or curling up right next to his humans in bed.

He also has a hilarious, quirky side: Tucker likes to zone in and is extremely curious. Once something catches his eye and piques his curiosity, he can’t be distracted until his new interest submits to him. A Shark vacuum recently got to know Tucker very well.

A couple of things to know about Tucker: He is VERY food-motivated. He’s not deaf, but he is an absolute master at acting like he is when it suits him. It usually takes him a couple of weeks to learn his new human’s voice and start paying attention to commands, so patience during the transition is key.

Health-wise, Tucker has had a thorough senior wellness checkup, complete bloodwork, eye tests, and is up to date on vaccines including heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He recently had a dental with a few extractions and the remaining teeth were shined up nicely.

If you are looking for an adventurous, spunky, and loving companion (and don’t mind a little extra personality), Tucker is your guy!
