…and hearts were mended

Meet Lettie and Layla, beneficiaries of your donations to Cavalier Rescue USA!

These beautiful Cavaliers came to Cavalier Rescue USA purportedly as healthy dogs. A trip to the vet quickly corrected that assumption though. Both pups had a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur, quite rare for a pair of young dogs. A visit to the cardiologist brought terrible news. Lettie and Lyla both had a heart defect called patent ductus arteriosus. If not corrected, this would have led to their deaths.

Thanks to the generosity of many, this story had a happy ending and both pups got the life saving surgery they needed. After mending their broken hearts (literally), Lettie and Lyla have gone on to loving homes!
