Please help Puppy Jacob 🧡

Jacob came into rescue at 8 weeks old. Unlike normal puppies, Jacob was born with his eyes open.

He saw a veterinary ophthalmologist and we learned that he has several congenital issues with his eyes. In addition to underdeveloped globes, this little love bug is missing lower eye lids and he has dermoids in both eyes.

He is already blind and will have severe chronic irritation in his eyes if left untreated, so he needs to have surgery to remove his eyes and live without pain. His surgery is estimated to be over $4000.

The good news is that since Jacob is already blind in both eyes, he won’t miss them. He gets around great by following the other dogs in the house and yard. His foster mom is working on some scent based training for him and he is a fast learner.
