Please help Remy ❤️
Remy is a darling 2 year old tricolor Cavalier that came into rescue with a severe case of seizures. After the usual seizure control medications were not as effective as hoped, it was determined that there is likely more going on than garden variety epilepsy. Remy has been evaluated by a neurologist and now needs an MRI, CSF analysis, and infectious disease testing so we can figure out why he’s having these seizures. Without advanced testing, we won’t know the underlying cause or how best to treat him.
Unfortunately, Remy takes several medications to control the frequency of his seizures, and these medications have side effects that impact his quality of life. While he is sedate and unsteady most of the time, he has moments of playfulness too and you can tell he wants to do more but can’t. Through it all, he’s such a trooper, and he always pops back up after tripping or falling over.
We are all looking forward to Remy being able to run and play to his heart’s content, but first we need answers as to why he is having seizures. He has been through so much already, and these tests will ensure he gets the right treatment.
We hope you’ll consider making a donation towards Remy’s vet bills. Even with a rescue discount, these advanced diagnostics will cost over $4000. Please help Remy get the care he needs! Click here to donate: Remy ❤️ or, contribute through the form below…
