Cavaliers were originally bred as companion dogs and they excel as therapy dogs by improving people's lives in settings like schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. -
Cavaliers are one of the largest toy breeds standing at 12 to 13 inches (30 to 33 cm) at the shoulder and weighing 13 to 20 pounds (6 to 9 kg) as an adult dog. -
Cavaliers come in four different colors and have unique names: Prince Charles (tri-color), King Charles (black and tan), Ruby (mahogany) and Blenheim (chestnut and white).
